It might seem hard to believe, but many ceramic series are named after cities and geographical regions. Most of the time, the exact reason remains a mystery, as these names were chosen by technical offices or designers within the ceramic houses. We like to think, however, that they were somehow influenced by the essence and spirit of those places.

PIEMONTE Series by Pozzi Ginori

One of Italy’s most beautiful regions gives its name to these historic fixtures by Pozzi Ginori: Piemonte (Wikipedia). Alongside other iconic series like ITALICA, ITALO DUO and SQUARE, it dominated the market throughout the ’70s and ’80s. This line featured a formidable and revolutionary design for the “golden age” of the bathroom furnishing sector.

Regarding the Piemontesina (or Duo) version, it is important to note that the toilet seat for the standard version differs from the one for the “monoblock” version with a ceramic cistern.
You can find the toilet seats for the standard model in all official colors—white, champagne, mink, whiskey, ochre, fern green, and heraldic blue—at the following Sintesibagno link: [ Clik HERE ]

EMILIA Series by Vavid Ceramica

Another Italian region lends its name to these Vavid: Emilia (Wikipedia) . This rectangular-shaped fixture made history in the ’70s and ’80s. Its geometric form is softened by two slight curves on the long sides. In its category, it remains a landmark model, competing with series like ALFANA (Tenax), SIMETO (Simas), YURA (Kerasan), and EDOS (Hatria). In addition to white, it was produced in champagne, mink, and beaver brown. All colored seats for the Emilia series are available in the Sintesibgano store at the following link  [ Clik HERE ]

ROMA Series by Catalano

The name of our capital city defines this series by Ceramica Catalano: Roma (wikipedia). Designed by the Italian master Matteo Thun, the design starts with a prominent oval shape at the top and tapers down to a squared base, evoking the “Imperial” style typical of Ancient Roman architecture. It was a large-scale toilet (39 cm wide), perfect for spacious bathrooms. The original toilet seat is still available at this Sintesibagno link [ Clik HERE ]
