Today we continue to talk about GSI and the glorious past of FACIS, which consisted of distinctive ceramic series, many with strange shapes, all now discontinued, and their hard-to-find toilet seats (though not on Sintesibagno.shop). In previous posts, we have seen who GSI Ceramica is today and many series from these companies. In the post: ”GSI ceramics. From Facis’ distinctive shapes to today’s design. All the unobtainable toilet seats. (part 1)” we looked at: PANORAMA, TRACCIA and ANTEA. We have seen PALACE and GINEVRA in the post: ”Odd and unusual shapes and their toilet covers (part 2)”, we have seen ADDA in the post: ”The CONCA WC and toilet seat and its ‘brothers’” and in the post: ”Older, discontinued models with rectangular toilet seats. (part 2)”,we have seen OMEGA in the post: ”BIG sanitaryware, large WCs and bidets modern lines and their covers (part 2)”.
CADORE Facis Series

We have chosen an overhead photograph of this toilet and especially its toilet seat because here we are dealing with the company’s unique shape (we talked about unique sanitary ware shapes and what they are HERE). Cadore is an incredible piece of sanitary ware; a particular raised section was created on the top rear of the toilet towards the front, requiring the toilet seat to be so precisely carved that it looks like it was custom-made by a master carpenter. It was produced in white, champagne, and grey. It is clear that on a WC of this type, only a toilet seat cover like the original can be fitted, and you can find it in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ].
AVANT Gsi/Facis Series

With this series, the company attempted to enter the market of the legends of the period that we saw in the post: “Sanitary ware from the ’80s and ’90s. Finding the toilet seat,” readable HERE, where we looked at the sanitary series from the golden age of real estate in Italy. Hundreds or perhaps thousands of series that filled the innumerable constructions of the period and their specifications: TESI by Ideal Standard, SINTESI by Cesame, CLODIA Dolomite, and FANTASIA by Pozzi Ginori. It had a very distinctive shape; the double curve on the body of the sanitary ware was a novelty. In our opinion, among all the ceramic series proposed by the company, it is the least in sync with the company’s industrial design, although still very beautiful. All toilet seats for this toilet, both the white and champagne coated wood versions and the thermosetting versions, can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ].
LOSANGA Gsi Ceramica Series

Given the shape of this sanitary ware, no name could have been more apt. Losanga is one of the more recent series from the GSI ceramics house. It has a very modern shape and was offered in floor-standing and wall-hung versions. Special workmanship on the ceramic body, very large dimensions (it requires a toilet seat a full 38 cm wide), and its shape make it highly recognizable throughout the company’s catalogue. In the store, we have selected a very precise toilet seat for this toilet; you can find it in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
CLIZIA Facis GSI Series

This could be the shape from which the company’s ceramic masters developed the more recent Losanga series we just saw. It was called Clizia, a series now out of production, but whose shape remains contemporary. The toilet seat for the new and old versions of this sanitary ware can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ].
We have looked at the old (Facis) and new GSI sanitary production and their toilet seats.
