Remembering Eos Ceramiche: A Guide to Finding Your Replacement Toilet Seat
In the world of bathroom furnishings, the name Eos Ceramiche was synonymous with quality ceramics and sanitary ware designs that resonated with a wide audience. Unfortunately, the company closed its doors some years ago, leading to the loss of unique sanitary ware designs and invaluable artisanal expertise. It’s a real shame! In this post, we want to commemorate some of the most important sanitary ware series produced by Eos Ceramiche and guide you, should you have their fixtures in your bathroom, on how to purchase the correct toilet seat.
COMPACT Series Eos Ceramiche
The Compact series truly embodies the idea that “small is beautiful!” The name itself hints at its dimensions. We even discussed it in our post “WC seats sizes | small size for small sanitary ware.” It was pioneering in its perfectly round (circle) top for the toilet bowl, inspiring many subsequent sanitary ware series. You can find its toilet seat at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].
ASTRO Series Eos Ceramiche
This series falls into the category of toilets with a stepped rim. We covered this in our post “Toilets with an Inclined Rim and Their Toilet Seats with Shaped Bumpers (part 1).” The Astro series by Eos Ceramiche is often considered the elder sibling of Clodia Dolomite. While they are very similar, the key difference lies in Astro’s much wider usable basin, which necessitates a precise toilet seat to accommodate those steps on the rim. You can find the perfect “like-the-original” product for this sanitary ware in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ].
MISTRAL Series Eos Ceramiche
The Mistral series is perhaps the only Eos sanitary ware line that didn’t introduce new formal elements, perhaps influenced by the prevailing trends of the time. It strongly resembles a popular Cesame series from the 1980s: the legendary Aretusa (which we discussed in “Ceramica Cesame and challenge the big palyers in the market. Are the original toilet seats still available? (part 1)“). While slightly more slender, it’s definitely very similar, even sharing the same toilet seat wheelbase of 19/20 cm. You can find its toilet seats at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].
EDGE Round Series Eos Ceramiche
This is the round variant, featuring a unique and innovative design. It boasts soft lines with a prominent top surface, intentionally designed almost as a separate element from the toilet’s curvature radius. We’ve found a dedicated toilet seat for this toilet, which you can find at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].
EDGE Square Series Eos Ceramiche
This is the square variant of Edge. It shares the same distinctive top design, but the lines transition from curved to rectangular. We’ve also selected a perfect dedicated toilet seat for this sanitary ware. You can find it in the Sintesibagno store at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].
RIACE Series Eos Ceramiche
When it comes to uniquely shaped sanitary ware, the Riace series truly stands out. In fact, we dedicated a post to it: “Unusual shaped toilet seats with special sizes. You’re going to see a lot!” The master ceramists at Eos created sanitary fixtures with truly astonishing craftsmanship. The Riace toilet seat is a must-have in our store, and you can find it at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].
PANTHEON Series Eos Ceramiche
The Pantheon series represents Eos Ceramiche’s classic, retro line. As we thoroughly explored in our post “Sanitary wares Retrò-Classic-English Style and their toilet seats” these pieces are symbols of style and class in bathroom furnishings. They evoke the charm of bygone eras and the Parisian Belle Époque. Even today, they remain beloved by architects who incorporate them into their projects for both prestigious villas and modern lofts, knowing they will be appreciated by their clients.
