Catalano and Out-of-Production Series (Old Models). Where can I find toilet seats?

Today, industry professionals and the general public alike recognize Catalano as a leading design company. This reputation is largely thanks to the immense success of the Zero system, which we’ve discussed in a dedicated post titled “The toilet seat Zero Catalano. How many models are there in this series? Zero 45,50,54,55,62, Light, +“.

However, Ceramica Catalano had already carved out a significant share of the sanitary ware market with other popular series. We’ve featured some of these in previous posts:

All these Catalano sanitary ware series give you an idea of the extensive production the company undertook before the “ZERO” era. In this post, we’ll explore even more!

Catalano JUNIOR Series (Narrow Shapes)

We’ve discussed sanitary ware like Junior in the post “Straits WCs and bidets. Less then 35 cm width. What are the toilet seat covers for these toilets?” We talked about the reduced width of the top surface, measuring 34/35 cm. Responding to market demands at the time, Catalano also proposed this sanitary ware. While it recalls the narrow oval of other sanitary fixtures, the company designers’ touch is evident. The rounded style, typical of other series from the same company, is unmistakable. We are still able to provide the toilet seat for this sanitary ware, even in champagne color. You can find it at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].

Catalano TISSI Series (Unusual Interaxes)

This sanitary fixture, called Tissi by Catalano, falls into the category of WCs with unusual toilet seat interaxes, similar to those discussed in “What is the weelbase in the toilet seats? (part 1)” Indeed, the fixing holes for the toilet seat are 21 cm from center to center. You can find the toilet seat for this sanitary ware at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].

Catalano CANOVA Series

Some have gone so far as to compare and consider this series of sanitary ware as the heir to the legendary antique/retro series Cesame Bella Epoque (which you can see at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ]) ). It was called Canova. The two series truly seem related; while Bella Epoque leans more towards square geometric shapes, Canova, following the Catalano style, evokes rounded forms and soft curves. It’s a sanitary fixture that we can categorize as classic/retro style. Here’s the post on the subject: “Sanitary ware Retro, Classic English Style and their toilet seats.” You can find the toilet seats for this bowl in the store at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ].

Catalano SFERA Series

This is the first version of Sfera, which we now call “old” since new versions have been released. It already hinted at the stylistic direction that modern and recent sanitary ware series would take in the years to come, right up to the present day. It achieved incredible sales success. Its toilet seat has precise and not very large measurements. You can find it at the following Sintesibagno link [ clik HERE ]. Do not confuse it with the new Sfera toilet seat, which has an interaxis of a full 22 cm.

We’ve looked at some of Catalano’s ceramic series that are now out of production, which we can consider old models.
