Beyond the Basics: Exploring More Toilet Seat Colors
In our previous post, “Sanitary ware colours. Why is it difficult to find the right color toilet seat?“, we introduced some of the main sanitary ware and cover colors: champagne, mink, cashmere, whiskey, and fawn. We also highlighted the challenges of accurately discerning and matching colors digitally. To help you avoid costly mistakes, we highly recommend revisiting that post. Comparing the colors side-by-side can significantly simplify your search.
To further assist you, we’ll now delve into additional colors, using the Conca (Ideal Standard) toilet seats as our examples. These have been featured in other posts where we discussed:
- Toilet seats with inclined hinges: “toilet seats for sanitary ware with inclined plane/oblique at 45°“
- The difference between European white and Ideal Standard white: “White EU/ Ideal Standard White, what is the difference in toilet seats?“
- Rectangular sanitary ware and their corresponding toilet seats: “Rectangular/Squared sanitary wares and toilet seats replacement“
We’ll also feature Pozzi Ginori’s Square series toilet seats. We’ll soon dedicate a more extensive post to the historical Pozzi Ginori series, including Piemonte, Stile, Italo, Italica, Italo Duo, Square, and many others. But for now, let’s get started!
Ideal Standard Conca Toilet Seat: Light Blue and Blue
Before we begin, a quick note: while we’re using the Conca toilet seat as an example, you’ll find these colors in other Ideal Standard series, as well as from many other manufacturers like Pozzi Ginori, Dolomite, Cesame, and Scala.
Here, we explore the three shades of blue. We start with Whisper Blue, which resembles the color of sugared almonds. Then, we move to Ideal Standard Blueberry, also known as navy blue by some ceramic manufacturers. This is a very dark blue. If you were looking for a real-world equivalent, think of the classic blue of a man’s suit jacket. In contrast, Deep Blue is brighter and more vibrant; some also call it navy blue. Ideal Standard Conca Toilet Seat: Green
Here are the three greens offered by Ideal Standard:
- The lightest, called Whisper Green.
- The brightest and best-selling, Fern Green.
- The darkest, which is a typical shade also known as military green: Cactus.
Typically, customers don’t make mistakes with these greens, as the differences between them are quite distinct. You can find all Conca toilet seats in green at the following link [click HERE].

Ideal Standard Conca Toilet Seat: Brown
These are the most intense and pronounced browns. As we mentioned in our previous post (reproduced below), Cashmere in the real world is very similar to “coffee ice cream.” Surprisingly, Beaver Brown resembles coffee powder. Last but not least, Walnut is the familiar, brilliant, and bright brown we all recognize. Below is an excerpt from our previous post where we discussed cashmere, mink, and the famous champagne, providing a comprehensive overview of all the browns.

Toilet Seat Covers! The Colors Champagne, Mink, and Cashmere
Placing these three colors side-by-side highlights their differences. As you can see, Champagne is a classic beige (think “cream ice cream” for a real-world reference). Mink is often confused with champagne, but as the comparative image shows, it’s no longer a beige; we’re now in the light brown category (for a real-world analogy, think “hazelnut ice cream”). Many customers, when trying to identify the color of their sanitary ware, describe it as a light brown with very subtle pink nuances, depending on the bathroom lighting. Finally, Cashmere falls into the brown shade, though it’s not one of the brightest Ideal Standard has produced (like walnut or beaver, which we’ll cover in another post). Sticking with the ice cream analogy, I’d say it’s like coffee. Click here for the full post.

Ideal Standard Conca Toilet Seat: White, Ideal Standard White, Whisper Grey
“When it’s time to replace your toilet seat, after a few years, you might buy a replacement from an inexperienced dealer or a DIY store, happily go home, and install it… only to find, ‘But, how is it that the toilet seat is milky white and the toilet is grey?’ That’s right. As long as there’s no chromatic contrast between the two whites, if asked the color of our seat, we’d simply say ‘white!’ Now we know it’s Ideal Standard White!”
We bring this up because you also need to pay attention to another color: if your Conca basin is truly grey and not just subtly shaded, it’s most likely Whisper Grey.

Pomegranate Color Toilet Seat

We conclude our Ideal Standard color tour with an exclusive. We’re showcasing a Rialto basin produced by Ideal Standard in the 70s and 80s. This color was named: Pomegranate. Many call it red, many call it burgundy, but in any case, it’s very recognizable. If you have an Ideal Standard sanitary fixture in your bathroom that tends towards red in any way, this is almost certainly the color.
You can find all Conca toilet seats in the official Ideal Standard colors we’ve just discussed at the Sintesibagno store via the following link [click HERE]. If you’re specifically looking for the Rialto toilet seat in this color, you can find it at this Sintesibagno link [click HERE].
Pozzi Ginori Square Grey Variants
Now we move on to colors that Ideal Standard has never produced. In this case, we’re talking about Pozzi-Ginori greys. For this comparison, we’ll use the Square toilet seat. We have Whisper Grey, the classic Grey, and the less common but still popular Mondrian Grey. Here, the tone of the grey shifts, as if a touch of black from the famous lines of the painter has been dissolved into it. The difference in greys is very noticeable in the picture. Square toilet seats, in all colors, are available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [click HERE].

Square Toilet Seat in Pink
Another exclusive Pozzi Ginori color is Oriental Pink. Unlike Whisper Pink, which is a typical candy pink and has been produced by other ceramic companies, Oriental Pink has a small percentage of red added to its pink base. The result is a color that some people call “flesh-colored,” which might sound a bit harsh but is actually very similar to our skin complexion. However, if you have a Pozzi Ginori sanitary fixture in your home that appears pink, not too bright, and leans slightly reddish, it’s almost certainly this color. Square toilet seats in all colors are available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ] .

We’ve now explored even more colors of sanitary ware and toilet seats. Perhaps you now know your toilet seat’s color but not its series, making you hesitant about making a purchase? Simply follow the Sintesibagno guide to finding the right WC seat, and your purchase will be certified!
