Ceramica Catalano: A Design Bathroom Staple
Through this project/system, Catalano ceramics made a name for itself in the world of designer bathroom furnishings, a favorite among architects, designers, and interior designers. It’s a comprehensive series featuring a vast array of washbasins and, the focus of this post, numerous toilets/WCs and bidets, each with its own toilet seat. We’ll divide them into groups that share the same toilet seat.
Catalano ZERO 54 Series
Easily recognizable by its raised back, the Zero 54 is available in both floor-standing (as pictured) and wall-hung versions. It was Catalano’s first Zero offering. The toilet seats for this specific model are not compatible with other Zero versions. Beyond dimensions, the crucial distinguishing factor for the toilet seat is the interaxis, which measures 18 cm in this version. While the Zero 54 series has been out of production for some time, the dedicated polyester-coated wood version in the Sintesibagno store [ clik HERE ].
Catalano ZERO LIGHT Series
The Zero Light series comprises the smallest fixtures within the Zero program. As we discussed in the post “Which small toilet seat has sold the most?“, alongside its two competitors, the 500 Pozzi-Ginori and the You&me Hatria, they practically dominated the market for compact sanitary ware. The series was introduced with a 50 cm deep wall-hung version and a remarkably compact 48 cm deep floor-standing version! It was a huge success! Catalano ZERO+ Series
The Zero+ series is the most significant from a formal standpoint within the Zero system. With its substantial dimensions, it’s ideal for larger bathrooms. We’re talking about fixtures with an impressive width of 40 cm, certainly not suitable for small bathrooms. While these have been out of production for a few years, their original toilet seat is available in the Sintesibagno store [ clik HERE ]. Catalano ZERO 50, 54, 55, 62 Series
With these forms, Catalano captivated the refined tastes of architects and designers. Since its initial presentation, this series has undergone several restylings, leading to the latest wall-hung versions with depths of 50 and 55 cm. The shape certainly recalls the original Zero 54, but the back step has been eliminated, and the toilet seat’s interaxis has increased from 18 cm to 22 cm.
